Using Custom Feedback Criteria

How end user share their feedback though the chat interface

When providing feedback through our system using the like/dislike buttons, additional details can be specified by selecting from predefined criteria (see screenshot below).

How tu customize Chat feedback criteria

Feedback criteria are fully customizable within your admin panel (see screenshot below).

You can modify both names and descriptions of each criterion based on user interaction—whether liking or disliking a response.

To make edits to any specific criterion name or description, simply click on its entry in the list provided.

On the above screenshot, objects 1 to 5 are the criteria that appear when clicking the dislike button. Objects 6 to 10 appear when a response is disliked.
To modify a criteria (name, description) click the corresponding object, and edit its properties in the screen below (permissions are needed to see the edit button)

Detailed instructions and prerequisite:

Prerequisites:

  1. You need to have admin access to the Paradigm platform.
  2. Ensure you have the right to edit the Feedback Categories

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Log in to your Admin account on the Paradigm platform.
  • Step 2: Navigate to the Feedback Categories page by clicking on the provided URL
  • Step 3: Once on the Feedback Categories page, you will see a list of existing feedback categories that users can select when evaluating a chat response.
  • Step 4: To modify a label, locate the specific category you wish to edit and click on the 'Edit' button next to it.
  • Step 5: In the window, you will see an editable text field containing the current label. Make your desired changes to the label here.
  • Step 6: After making your changes, click on the 'Save' button to apply the modifications.

How to create new feedback type

Feedback types: The Paradigm interface offers various types of feedback, including:

  1. Copied: The user copied the response.
  2. Regenerate: The user clicked to regenerate the response.
  3. Like: The user liked the response.
  4. Dislike: The user disliked the response.

In addition to these feedback types available from the Paradigm interface, it is possible to create custom feedback types via the API to collect specific business feedback (e.g., email open rate, SEO score, etc.).

When creating a feedback type, you need to define:

  • Feedback Name: The name of the feedback type.
  • Value Type: The type of value (e.g., numeric, text).
  • Start Value: The initial value.
  • End Value: The final value.
  • Single or Multiple Values: Specify whether only one value can be recorded per output or if multiple values can be recorded.

Feedbacks

This section aggregates all the feedback collected during various interactions between a user and the model, whether through the Paradigm interface or the API.

Response Feedbacks

This section of the admin panel is located on this link:
https://paradigm.lighton.ai/admin/chat/responsefeedback/
It is a list of ResponseFeedback objects. Object properties indicate if the user has liked, disliked, clicked the copy button or given some comments.
